About the Program

Jackie, is a New Jersey native who returned home in July of 2016 after eleven years in Chicago, her home away from home. Jackie is a DePaul University Double Demon and a 2007 Women’s College World Series Participant and the only player from New Jersey to be competing in the WCWS that year.  She graduated from DePaul with a masters in Educational Leadership Cum Laude in 2012 and her undergrad in communications with a minor in Sales Leadership in 2009.   Prior to that, she was the Graduate Assistant and student worker for the DePaul softball team for 3 years which catapulted her into her position  as the Director of Operations and Assistant Coach at DePaul.  Not only was she honored to be a coach in the Big East at the largest private Catholic University in the country, but was also afforded the opportunity to play her four years of college ball there.

During her tenure at DePaul, Jackie racked up quite the list of accomplishments.  She finished her four-year career at DePaul tied for fourth all-time in RBI’s and second all-time for home runs.  In 2007, her sophomore year, not only did she play in the Women’s College World Series, she was a part of a record breaking team at DePaul going 20-0 in Big East Conference play and beating #1 ranked Oklahoma in the Super Regional to project them into the World Series.  Tarulli also racked up first team all conference awards all four years as well as making the All-Region team in 2007 and 2009.

As a coach at DePaul and Director of Operations, Tarulli was in charge of team travel and administration as well as helping with defense, catchers and hitters.  Throughout Tarulli’s time at DePaul, she was a part of molding many young athletes.  The accomplishments these players have had are among some of the highest you can achieve.  To come out of DePaul under her tenure have been 1 Professional Player, 2 All-Americans, 4 All-Region Players, 10 Big East Conference Players, 1 Coaching Staff of the Year Award, 2 Big East Player of the Year awards, 1 Pitcher of the year Award, a top 25 ranking in the national polls and a top 10 ranking in Academics across the NCAA.  To say her and her staff were successful is an understatement.  Although these accomplishments are some of the highest, she is always the first one to give credit to the staff she was lucky enough to work with and be coached by Hall of Fame coach Eugene Lenti.

Upon her return from Chicago and coming home, Jackie took over the Director of Operations role as well as taking on the Head Coaching spot for the Finch’s Aces 18u Premier team. She grew the program to six teams all with local and national traction.

From  2016- 2020, Jackie took on the Head Varsity Coach at Ridge High School, her alma mater.  In 2016 she was inducted into the Ridge High School Hall of Fame for her exceptional high school career amassing High School Accolades not many have can say they have such as All-State Shortstop and Catcher (4 years), All-County Shortstop and Catcher (4 years), All-Area Shortstop and Catcher (4 years), Courier News Freshmen of the Year 2001.  After Jackie’s first year as head coach, she took her team to the first .500 season the school has had since 2002 and throughout her 4 year stint at Ridge, she made it to the county finals and state tournament all four of those years.

She continues to work in the softball world doing private lessons and consulting for her father, Tommy T, who has been running his own recruiting firm for the last 20 years, Thomas Tarulli Sports Marketing. TTSM helps young prospective student-athletes find the right fit for their college careers, teaches them about the college process and guides them through the very rigorous process of being recruited.

We will be formally starting small group training, which allows for in depth focus on each athlete and her fundamentals in hitting, defense, throwing, baserunning, and more.  It is a great program to sign up for this winter.  Coach Samila is currently accepting clients for individual and small group lessons.   If you have a parent run team, it’s a great opportunity to develop the girls in the winter season to prepare for spring.  We will train three to four athletes maximum at a time per small group.  Training time will be based on the age of each group.  Most groups will train for one hour each session and one to two hours a week.   This will lead into the start of the Spring rec/travel season.   Reach out quickly, as his availability will likely fill up fast!

We are also excited and looking at a completion date of around March to have completed our full 60/90 feet infield, setup for softball as well.  It includes inset bases, backstop, and outdoor full batting cage to accommodate multiple stations for intensive and continuous training.  This field will be utilized as soon as the weather permits and  field openings will be decided by GTD.  This will be available well prior to the opening of most town fields.
